Bill Shatz to join national staff to select U-19 Team USA

The Competition Committee for the 2012 U.S. Lacrosse National Under-19 World Team recently announced the appointment of its Selector staff and among the coaches representing US Lacrosse is Bill Shatz, the long-time Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Fire's U-19/Gold team and President of the organization.

As a Selector, Bill will be joining an elite group of 20 coaches from across the United States to convene July 7-10 on the campus of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and evaluate 125 of the nation's top U-19 lacrosse players attempting to make the 25-man Team USA roster.

Preparations are already underway for the selection and training of the team that will be competing in the 2012 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships to be held in Turku, Finland.
